INTO IT- ARE YOU INTO IT TOO?

Does this ever happen to you? It’s interesting. When I listen to a song, or read a book, or watch a movie and I am drawn to the story line or the beat (for songs) I really get into it. With songs for instance, if I have a listen, and love the beat or the lyrics but mostly beats, I obsess about it. So, I sort of have phases, and I’ll go all out download all the songs of that particular artist, buy the album, tell my friends about the song, and have it on replay for weeks. Then as it may be, I eventually get bored. That’s with songs. For books, if I really like a book, and I’m into it, I can’t put it down until I finish reading it. And I normally feel incomplete if I don’t finish it. And I sort of always become one with the characters. And I think to some extent my habits change, for a while. With movies, the same, if it is winter in the movie, I feel cold, if the person is sad in the movie, I feel that too. Weird, no?

My point? Mmmm. No point actually.  Just random thoughts. J Certain books, movies, and songs come to us at a particular time. You may even find that you may have had a book or a movie for such a long time, or the artist may have been on for a long time, but you haven’t discovered him/her yet, and then when you are ‘ready’, they ‘appear’ to you. Also with songs, for me, if I like a particular jam, it just reflects my state of mind. If you look at the songs/artists you are currently ‘obsessing’ over, it just may show what is going on with you, your state of mind. Guess we attract what we are, and this includes songs, books, movies etc.?

All in all, if you want to know what is going on with me or the next person at any particular time, just ask what they are reading, or watching or better yet, which particular artist they are into, therein lies your answer.

PS – Currently struggling to finish reading The White Tiger, no song/artist I’m currently obsessing over. {though I was obsessing over this guy’s voice –Aloe Blacc – about a month ago for his uncredited vocals in ’Wake Me Up’ by Avicii}
